Newly assigned Assembly Speaker, Job Ndugai received a hand written letter from President Magufuli and named the politician and Member of Parliament for Ruangwa constituency since 2010 and the new premiere to the assembled Parliament Members and the citizens countrywide.
After the announcement which was received with enthusiasm by many MPs, Speaker Ndugai announced that Parliament will adjourn after forty-five minutes to give the appointees time to reflect on their legislative positions.
The prime minister-elect was born December 22, 1960 and joined Kigonsera High School between 1977- 1980.
In 1991-1993 he joined the Mtwara Teachers Training College before joining the University of Dar es Salaam in 1994 and graduating in 1998. He then went on to joing the University of Stockholm in Sweden for higher studies.
He has served in various capacities since 1984 when he joined the civil service as a teacher in Lindi, Secretary of the District Administration, Regional Administrative Secretary and Head of the District.
In 2010 he was elected MP for Lindi Ruangwa before former President Jakaya Kikwete appointed him Deputy Minister in 2012 in Prime Minister's Office Regional Administration and Local Government (Local Government) in charge of education.
