American film director Tyler Perry is known in the movie industry as a man who can easily bring laughter, sorrow and positivity, all to one movie. Perhaps his most popular film ever was last year’s ‘Temptations: Confessions Of A Marriage Counsellor.” His TV show, ‘The Haves and Have Nots is also popular with Kenyan viewers.The actor has been renowned in directing movies with moral lessons. As a result of the success f his movies, he is now one of the richest directors in Hollywood.

However, the successful filmmaker hasn’t had an easy life at all as he has gone through abuse, melancholy and depression, especially in his childhood.

Tyler recently revealed his permanent anger after he discovered that the man his mother introduced to him many years ago as his biological father was truly not his father but his step father.

While addressing an audience during his recent appearance at the Women’s Empowerment 2014 event in Raleigh, North Carolina, the 44-year-old Hollywood star revealed that he will never forgive his late mother for lying to him about his father’s identity.

According to him, he had always believed that the violent Emmitt Perry Snr, a man that regularly, severely beat him up to a point Tyler attempted suicide at the age of 10, was his biological father. That turned out not t be the case as years later, Tyler took a DNA test with his brother and found out the truth.

A disappointed Perry cried while telling the audience to be honest with their children:

“I love my mother to death, but she lied to me. Some of you have secrets that your kids need to know. Let the chips fall where they may. For the peace of that person, let them know.”

Unfortunately, his mum is now late and Tyler has to now search for his real dad alone. But Tyler says he doesn’t understand why a mother would do this to her own grownup child. -------------------
